Arizona Project WET thrives due to the generous contributions of government agencies, private companies, corporations, foundations and nongovernmental organizations who share in the conviction that water is life and education empowers. The support of these sponsors boldly proclaims that APW equips teachers and students to protect, conserve, and manage water resources by providing programs, instruction, resources and teaching tools that impart best educational practices. Water stewardship is a community ethic built through strong relationships and sustained partnerships.

Arizona Water Festival Model

Arizona Water Festivals instill a deeper understanding of water in the earth system and Arizona’s water resources through a community water festival event, teacher professional development workshop, and extensive volunteer and community involvement. The AWF program will equip teachers with resources and strategies to engage their fourth graders in a fun and interactive celebration of water, while meeting the new Arizona Science Standards 2018. Discovering how water works in the earth system and where arid Arizona gets its water brings science, mathematics, engineering, and technology alive for students.
